Dr. Carrie Eckenhoff, PT, DPT, OCS
Dr. Carrie Eckenhoff is the owner and practicing physical therapist at Equilibrium. She is a board-certified orthopedic specialist who has been practicing in the Vail Valley for over five years.
Carrie takes an evidence-based approach and utilizes her expertise in manual therapy (hands-on treatments) to provide excellent outcomes for all her patients. In addition to her board-specialization, Carrie has completed her coursework towards an orthopedic manual therapy fellowship, and has learned from some of the leading manual therapists in the field.
Carrie is passionate about helping people achieve their goals, whether that is returning to a specific sport or simply functioning better in daily life. She is dedicated to providing one-on-one care in a calm, focused setting.
Carrie strongly values community and understands the importance of a team mentality. Carrie played soccer competitively from a young age through college at Emory University, and has continued to play recreationally in the Vail Valley. During the winters, Carrie is an adaptive ski instructor for Small Champions, a local program for children with disabilities. She also helps out with Power Punch Parkinson’s, a boxing program that is designed to help individuals with Parkinson’s maintain balance and mobility, founded by local Rick Schwartz.
Carrie also has been a trail leader for the Adopt-A-Trail program for the Vail Valley Mountain Trails Association/ Forest Service and is enthusiastic about doing her part to take care of the outdoor spaces that make this valley so special. In her free time, Carrie enjoys outdoor adventures with her dog Charlie, mountain biking, skiing, yoga and spending time with family, friends, and the community.

We want to provide you with the tools you need to move without being limited by pain, injury, or lack of knowledge. All physical therapy sessions are provided by a board-certified orthopedic specialist who utilizes a variety of tools, including highly skilled manual therapy and dry needling. We serve the community, ranging from pediatric to older adults in a variety of orthopedic, neurologic and vestibular conditions, by providing a space where each individual is empowered to learn, grow, and heal through movement and hands-on treatment.
Equilibrium Physical Therapy is set in a relaxed but vibrant space integrated within a yoga studio and wellness center (Anahata Yoga & Wellness) in Minturn, CO. Carrie utilizes her expertise to serve the community through uninterrupted one-on-one care. Equilibrium core values include client comfort and focused attention, which Carrie provides through her full attention and calm energy to each person.
Equilibrium is space where members of the community are able to work with a physical therapist in a unique setting to achieve individualized goals related to pain, movement, and a healthy lifestyle. It is also a space where collaborative relationships with the yoga instructors and massage therapist are available to support each individual’s unique needs.
